Missed the past few days of my observations from the journey. If I hadn't just created this account, I realize how devastated you all would be, and I will try to keep that to a minimum in the future.
Today turned out to be a pretty slow day, with the Cascades proving to be quite the challenge for Dad and Matt, especially with Matt making due with only eight of the ten gears on the touring bike, having lost the easiest two when trying to climb some tough mountains. This left me plenty of time to finish Bill Simmons Now I Can Die In Peace, a very amusing read that brought me right back to some fond, and not so fond for that matter, memories from the past years in our Sox history. All in all, I was very pleased with the read. After finishing that, I got 160 pages into a James Patterson novel, always great quick reads. Before I know it I'll be into my third book, and we are barely a week in. Knew I carried 14 books around three airports on the way out here for a good reason, not that I'm simply a dumbass who can't manage to put things where they belong.
Other than that, looking forward to a day off tommorow of golf in Oregon, maybe followed by getting to catch Knocked Up tommorow night. Should be a nice relaxing day after running around the entire time since waking up at Tom's graduation party on last Sunday, especially considering I should be biking with Dad on Wednesday, which could be up to 50 miles if all goes according to plan. I'm really starting to enjoy this, especially since in the back of my mind I know I would be looking for a job at this point if I were back on the east coast. Life is Good.
